Biography:

Kuko Alamala:

Born in Newark NJ to Puerto Rican Parents who separated when he was five, made for an interesting life to say the least. Usually when some one becomes a father at the age of 14 their options become very limited. This never stopped him from reaching for the stars and where he is today is a testament to that.

His parents will tell you he's been singing since he was one, when he had his mother play "El Burito De Belen" a Puerto Rican children's song over and over for a few months and would sing it before he could properly speak. But it was not until the age of 13 that he realized he had a talent for writing poems, and converting them into songs. He would write Poems for all of his friends to give to their little girlfriends. When he finally decided to give singing a shot, he was quickly discouraged by his best friend at the time who said "You sound dumb" despite all of his cousins and sisters saying he sounded great.

But as fate would have it, while on a group trip to the Dominican Republic, he would sing in front of several women, to his amazement they loved it. They started to seek him out and kept making request for him to sing different songs, inspiring him to continue trying to achieve his dream of becoming a Recording Artist.

After recording at several different studios, spending a lot of money, getting ripped off and still getting no where, Kuko decided that owning his own studio would be more beneficial. Logic (despite being the hardest to learn) was what most Engineers recommended. He went out and purchased a full digital studio and many, many, many books and taught himself how to engineer a studio.

Kuko Alamala writes, produces, composes, and arranges. To add to his resume, he is now directing and Editing Music Videos.

Born and raised in Newark NJ much like NYC an extremely diverse city he grew up Listening to Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and since it\'s beginning, Reggaeton. All of these different styles have influenced him one way or another, and that is why you hear a little bit of every thing in his music.

Buda:

Born in Puerto Rico to a family of few means, it was pretty obvious that success in life would be an uphill battle. According to his mother, Buda always had an inclination towards music. His father and probably the biggest influence and driving force in his life always encouraged and nurtured his musical abilities.

Buda never wanted toys, he always wanted instruments and his father was more than happy to oblige. Unfortunately during his teen years he became some what of a troubled youth, but his father never gave up on him all the way to his death bed.

His father dying became a wake up call and he knew in order to make his father proud he would have to take drastic actions at that moment he decided the only way to do so was to go to the United States.

Fast forward one year, Buda and Kuko were introduced by a recording Artist whom both Buda and Kuko were separately producing tracks for.

From the very moment they met a mutual respect and Admiration for each others work formed. They helped each other out but never partnered up.

While working on his Freshman Album "Si ahora no, Cuando" Kuko Alamala approached Buda for assistance. They worked on several tracks and Buda was more than happy to be featured on a few tracks. This partnership grew in to a great friendship and led to them becoming a duo and recording their first album as a group "Pintando Con Palabras".

This Album was followed up with La Monografia, a CD/DVD featuring the best of their music as well as a DVD featuring most of their music videos. With La Monografia, they started to really find their sound and their voice.

All of this experience led to their Latest release "A La Buena O A La Mala", which is their best composition to date. Its has a very unique Latin Urban sound which they have perfected. It includes Merengue, Bachata and POP. They produced, wrote, recorded, engineered and arranged every song.

Although this industry is over saturated with singers, there are few if any that can do what Kuko & Buda do. They literally do it all from A to Z which also includes Directing and Editing Videos.
