A native of New Mexico bassist, vocalist and composer Tanya F. Nunez has performed on upright and electric bass adding backing vocals in diverse styles such as soul, folk, rock, jazz, world, pop, hip hop and Americana. She has played with such incredible artists as drummer and Grammy Award winner, the late Stu Nevitt, Grammy nominated R&B legend Howard McCrary, Jeff Cohen (Eric McFadden Trio), Tommy Rickard (Linda Perry,Courtney Love). Tanya appears on releases by Normandie Wilson and Sebastian Clark, The Watts Ensemble, Tommy Rickard and Multi Ethnic Star Orchestra. In 2008, Cheap & Sunny (upright bass, vocals) received Top Ten Album of the Year Honors by The Alibi Magazine.
