Biography:

FADED SUN is the living breathing brainchild of heavy rock veteran TONY DEVITA, a former member of New York's INVASION who played in support of many of rock and metal's finest and most classic acts
Tony brought his vision and passion to Los Angeles during the heydey of the southland's metal scene, and took his band CARFAX ABBEY to new heights.
His powerful vocals caught the attention of Nuclear Blast recording artists NEW EDEN, and soon therafter, Tony and NEW EDEN were on the metal festival circuit.
Tony honed the experience in these other acts to forge an outfit in his own image: groove metal with power metal and progressive musicianship, soaring clean vocals with radio rock hooks; the blueprints for what became FADED SUN were lain.
The result has been compared favorably to GODSMACK, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, MEGADETH, BLACK SABBATH, OZZY, ALTER BRIDGE, DEFTONES, DISTURBED and more recently KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and MACHINE HEAD.
Tony's vocal prowess continued to gain him accolades, placing him 2nd overall in the National QUEENSRYCHE TAKE COVER contest where he sang duet with the great GEOFF TATE and QUEENSRYCHE at the Anaheim House of Blues and was invited to Sing in Seattle for the finals. Also Tony actively Participates in METAL JAM for Autism To sing with Jamming Musicians for a good cause!
Independent radio stations the world over have embraced the new direction, and FADED SUN continues to be on the top of the list to support National Acts that share the vision and continue to bring the goods to a hungry and loyal metal crowd.
Combined with the precise hammering and rock solid groove of drummer MIKE BROWN, and the fearless bombast of lead guitarist DAVID BALDWIN GAMBLE uitar FADED SUN will continue to deliver on the promise that earned them high profile support gigs.
2013 saw the release of Event Horizons, an EP that hints at the direction Faded Sun will be headed into 2014.

“with passion and are technically tight, but, I have also seen how they have stepped up their stage performance at each show, adding more movement to their set. The band also added new songs to their set and as a fan I love that. When I go to shows and I see the same set over and over again, I get over it. I believe Faded Sun is becoming more cohesive as a band and it shows on stage with a stronger performance each time they play. The guys seem more at ease and relaxed and they deliver a more powerful show each time they play. The band is: Tony DeVita - Lead Guitar and Lead Vocal, Mike Brown - Drums, Dave Gamble - Lead Guitars, and Bassist Lou Papai. They are no strangers to the music scene, all veterans in the music industry, however, this lineup of Faded Sun as it is currently is somewhat new. The 3 break out shows with this line up has been on stage with legends like Adrenaline Mob at The Roxy, Lizzy Borden at the Whisky a Go Go, and finally at this show with Y&T at Saint Rocke.pt 2”

“Faded Sun took the stage for the third time in a trilogy of local shows in epic venues and on stage with international legends. The final show of the 3 was with legendary Y&T at Saint Rocke in Hermosa Beach. If you missed this sold out show here is a glimpse of what went down. This was my first time at Saint Rocke and I was impressed from the moment I entered the venue. The staff was friendly, the food and drinks hit the spot and overall I would put it on a must visit venue. The stage is average sized and raised high enough so as a music fan, it was easy to view the bands. That said lets move on to the bands related to the title of this article.Sell Out Saint Rocke Faded Sun provided direct support for Y&T and hit the crowd with a heavier modern Hard Rock sound with a dash of Classic Metal. When Faded Sun took the stage the floor filled up with fans old and new. I have seen this band more than a few times and each time I see them I see how their set changes. They always ..Part 1- cont.”

“story short, there are too many props to give this performer. That said, he is the master mind behind Faded Sun. This band started by Tony and Mike Brown, fell into place when David Gamble and Lou Papai were brought on board. With a line up that made sense in both sound (a mix of Alter Bridge, Black Label Society, Machine Head, Disturbed, Godsmack) and personalities, an epic band was born. This line-up, somewhat new with less than a handful of shows under their belt, came out swinging a few weeks ago when they opened for Adrenaline Mob at the Roxy. Playing the Lizzy Borden 30th Anniversary show two weeks later speaks volumes. If you want a show worth the drive there and price of ticket this is your band. More legendary shows are on the docket, including Friday May 10th at Sainte Rock with the San Francisco Bay area legends Y&T. This show is expected to sell out so get your tickets from the band ASAP.”

“It is rare you get to see a stadium sized show in the intimate setting of a club, but the Lizzy Borden show at the legendary Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood was a show 30 years in the making. That is what the fans got at Lizzy Borden's 30th Anniversary show. On Saturday April 6th, Black Mourning, Fall of Man, Chemical Burn, Faded Sun, White Wizzard and Lizzy Borden took the stage at the world infamous Whisky a Go Go on the Sunset Strip. If you missed it you missed a jaw dropping night of twisted "American Metal" theater.Faded Sun was next up. I confess I am a fan. If you do not know the band let me introduce them to you. Tony DeVita - Lead Guitar/Lead Vocal, Mike Brown - Drums, Dave Gamble - Lead Guitars, and Lou Papai - Bass. To give you a quick history of lead singer Tony DeVita, he has done everything. Starting in NewYork and playing with bands like WARRIOR, Bullet Boys, Mandy Lion's WWIII, Pretty Boy Floyd, Quiet Riot, ODIN, So Low DC4, LOUDNESS-just to name a few.To make a long CONT>”

“It is rare to see a show where every band that plays could be the headliner. That was the show at the Roxy, officially headlined by Adrenaline Mob, held Saturday March 30th. The line up, in order of appearance included: Killset (sadly we missed this set), Blackmore, Faded Sun, Nothing More, and Adrenaline Mob. The talent on the stage that night was no less than spectacular. The unworldly amazing Faded Sun is: Tony DeVita ....Lead Vocals/Lead Guitar, Mike Brown....Drums, David Baldwin Gamble....Lead Guitar, & Lou Papai...Bass. Tony DeVita is a music veteran who has played on stage with countless greats including Anthrax, Metal Church, Kings X, Motorhead, Queensryche, and many more. This band is a pinch of Ozzy, a dash of Leatherwolf, a sprinkle of Testament and a whole bunch of Classic Metal awesome melded together to form Faded Sun. I confess I was a fan before I went to the show and left with a greater appreciation of the guys. If you want a show that will satisfy your Rock/Metal needs”
