Chris Steude is a songwriter/mutli-instrumentalist originally hailing from Columbia South Carolina. Since relocating to Charlotte in 2005, he's played guitar, keyboards, mandolin, and accordion in several bands including the Orsons, Attila's Honey, the Vel-Crows, and Surrounded by Spaniards. Today he plays acoustic/americana songs that draw from life and history. He's played at times under the name Skeleton Kednig, with John Burns and Charles Willimon on bass and guitar.
He recorded his first full-length album Immolation with Grey Revell of Paleface in 2010, and followed that up with EP Weekend Project and rarities collection War of Contrition. He is set to release his second full-length in early 2013.
Chris is often accompanied by his wife, vocalist Candace Williamson Steude providing harmonies and moral support.
