Dave Richardson, under the NEW pseudonym "Dx." previously a.k.a. Shift-E recently began to take a new direction in his music back in the winter of 2005. As a native guitar player/ rock musician of 25 years, his discovery for the love of playing music began at the young age of 9. He strives for a sound that puts the mainstream aside while delving into another world genre of synthesis design, drum programming, routing algorithms, producing, live performance and audio mastering all while sticking to his roots and his love for the guitar. - This blend of newer electronic instruments, techniques and elements with the traditional, organic sounds of live instruments is "his sound" and no other.. As a result, he has opened a new door to a new room filled with new sounds and new instruments - rather than just the traditional "rock" instruments alone. At the same time, he is not pushing for anything that just aims for a marketable objective. He continues to create music that has a source of creative expression and a wide range of "themed" genres. After all, this is what music is all about - creative expression, not capital.. His goals are to make music that intrigues, share ideas, educate people away from the many false misconceptions of electronic music and simply live by his music.
