Heavy grooves inspire audiences to let go and dance. The harmonized melodies captivate listeners while many leave the shows humming a tune. Gripping lyrical content inspires deep reflection, laughter and a groovin' good time !!!

This Movement of talented artists came together on Vancouver Island in the spring of 2007 when they began to collaborate musically and share their message of hope and inspiration through the soothing vibrations of their unique and powerful sound. A couple years later, they have toured throughout Western Canada and played at several major festivals including Diversity Festival, Calgary Reggae Festival and a headlining slot performing to over 2000 fans at Islands Folk Festival.

As The Karuna Movement has progressed they have shared the stage with many great artists such as Clinton Fearon, Rootz Underground, John Brown's Body, Delhi to Dublin, Culture Brown, Shane Phillip, Moses Maze, Randeesh and Goodbye Beatdown. They also enjoy radio play on some best stations Western Canada has to offer (including: CHLY 101.7 FM, CHMO 900 AM, VIBE 98.5 FM, CJSW 90.9 FM and CBC Radio 3) and many more throughout Canada and the world. As they finish up the final touches on their upcoming album entitled "The Power of Music", they will be continuing to hit the tour circuit and bringing it home with their lively mix of funky reggae and soulful ska pop. . .
