Biography:

Singer/songwriter /multi-instrumentalist Kathana, draws from emotional experiences to write her lyrics. She brings them to life with her sultry vocals and catchy melodic compositions. Her influences include Coldplay, Max Frost, Amy Winehouse and Foster the People. Kathana started performing at the age of twelve and has sung lead vocals in various Pacific Northwest variety bands ever since. She is currently pursuing a four year degree at Berklee College of Music Online.

Producer and multi-instrumentalist Chris Gruchacz also composes the instrumental arrangements. His interest in innovative writing style has driven him to combine his passions for edgy progressive guitar and lush electronic music and gives a unique identity to Kathana’s musical ideas. His sound is inspired by the work of guitarists like Plini, Joe Satriani, and Nick Johnston, and the engaging production of KSHMR, deadma5, Sizzle Bird and Armin Van Buuren. He earned his bachelor’s degree in music production from Oregon State University in 2017.

Kathana and Chris also perform together in a professional cover band The Funaddicts and play at casinos, private events and outdoor summer festivals.
