As the longest running gypsy-jazz chanteuse with Vancouver's Hot Club of Mars, Deanna joined forces with this seasoned, and talented group of acoustic musicians in 2002. Keeping in the spirit of the great Django Reinhardt, this gypsy swing ensemble encouraged dancing and toe-tapping in a wide variety of settings. Deanna has a rare ability to delivery an authentic performance of vintage tunes with charisma and charm and is very much at home in this project. Two CD's were released by this up-beat and entertaining band. Gypsy Fire in 2005 and Kiss of Fire in 2013. Deanna is mostly retired from this project but has been know to reunite from time to time for a special occasion.

After a hiatus from performing her original compositions, Deanna is back performing her soul songs to listening audiences at jazz vespers, house concerts and other intimate venues. The Deanna Knight Tree-O is the official title of this project and most often includes Simon Kendall on piano (Doug and the Slugs) and Eric Reed on guitar, banjo and mandolin (Jim Byrns, Barney Bentall) Deanna draws from a wide variety of professional musicians and sometimes performs as a larger 5 piece. Her new collection of songs stir up thoughts of love, forgiveness, healing and positive change. In a genre-fluid style Deanna's voice stirs your heart and songs inspire hope with moving melodies, truth and conviction .

D has covered a good number of genres in her career including psychedelic rock & roll with Canadian jam band The Fat Cats which she co founded in the early 90's. Around 2018 she joined forces with a talented group of musicians playing tribute to the Grateful Dead. Catch GD/BC in and around the Vancouver area as the fanbase grows and the band keeps everyone dancing.

Her songwriting was honoured in her debut solo CD "Shadow of a Star" combining some of Canada's finest musicians including Richard Bell, Gary Craig, Carlos Del Junco, Ernie Tollar and Oliver Schroer. George Koller co-produced this organic mix of melodies and lyric which he coined as "cosmic folk"

Deanna moved her family to BC's Sunshine Coast in the fall of 2017. She is now the proud owner of the top rated Secret Beach B&B Suites and hosts travelers from around the world. The 2018 launch of the SoulShine Garden Concert Series continues to showcase top talent including Valdy, Stephen Fearing, Luke Wallace, Coco Love, Rick Scott, Oliver Swain, Dawn Pemberton, Big Little Lions, Veda Hille, Rebecca Jenkins, The Burying Ground, Chris Ronald and more.
