Bands often think of success as making millions of dollars a year, partying every night, and having access to anything they can imagine. The band Standpointe thinks of success as winning the hearts of people through their love of creating unforgettable music. The members include Dave Poninski on vocals, Scott Lewis on Drums, Kirk Hamby on bass, Andy Leverenz on guitar, and Jared Himmel on guitar. Originating out of St. Louis, Missouri, the group flourishes the nation with their most recent album titled “Make Your Move.” “Our goal is to be original you know, we strive to maintain a hard driven rock sound with unforgettable sounds and catches,” says Standpointe guitarist and songwriter, Andy Leverenz. With their new album in radio rotation nation wide, the group continues to grow with popularity. Standpointe has shared the stage with many national touring artists’ including Smile Empty Soul, Black Light Burns, Cinder Road, and Modern Day Zero. What’s next for the 5 members of Standpointe you ask? Standpointe looks to touring as their main focus. “Spreading our sound to as many ears as possible is the only way to be successful, and to do that we have to tour,” says Standpointe singer Dave Poninski. As of now the group is in search of a qualified booking agent to put them on the road and help them reach their goal. Also on the agenda is to record a follow up album. As the release date is still undetermined the members stress of how the new music on the follow up album is expected to blow the first album out of the water. Standpointe’s strive for success is a never-ending endeavor. The group is always looking to better themselves. With an excellent display of stage presence, large attendance records, and worldwide distribution the band Standpointe has no other choice but to grow bigger and better than ever before.
