Originally from Long Island, NY, vocalist Ryan Baker has been based in Las Vegas since he moved there in 2003. Starting out as a Frank Sinatra tribute artist, Baker helped create and starred in the show “Shades of Sinatra”, which opened for Don Rickles twice. Ryan has also performed in several Rat Pack tribute shows, such as “Drinkin’, Singin’, Swingin” and “The Rat Pack Is Back”, currently playing at the Tuscany in Vegas.
In 2014, Baker recorded and co-produced his own album of jazz standards entitled Timeless Again, which debuted to critical acclaim and widespread radio play. He has since been a regular feature at Vegas jazz clubs such as the Dispensary Lounge, along with multiple appearances at Jazz at Kitano in New York.
Ryan currently stars in and produces his own show called “Big Band Crooners”, in which he pays vocal tribute to singing legends such as Sinatra, Bobby Darin, and Michael Bublé, all with a live 17-piece big band, which opened in 2018 to sellout crowds and rave reviews.
“[T]his CD shows Ryan Baker to be a subtly impressive singer who really shines in this low-key setting.”
Jerome Wilson - Cadence Jazz Magazine
“What makes this disc stand out is that Baker pulls out a few obscure ringers, and makes them work... Nice outing!”
George W. Harris - Jazz Weekly
“Hooray for Ryan Baker... An honest production.”
Robert D. Rusch - Cadence Jazz Magazine
"Singing the standards, the classics from the Great American Songbook, have become something that most vocalists gravitate to at some point during their career. For Las Vegas singer Ryan Baker, singing timeless classics seems to be something he was born to do from the beginning as Timeless Again reveals so well. Gifted with a vocal instrument quite different from others, Baker seems suited for the music of the ages."
Edward Blanco - All About Jazz
“Ryan Baker will stage a very special “record release party” at the Italian American Club this coming Saturday at 2:00 p.m.”
