Joey Welch is a songwriter who has worked with Steve Albini, Nick Webb (Abbey Road), Hank Williams (MasterMix), and continues to work with Grammy award-winning producer Ben Fowler.
Tiffany Kilfeather of the College Music Journal (CMJ) reviewed Welch's songwriting, stating it gives the listener “life-sustaining enjoyment”.

Welch has toured the U.S. playing 260 shows a year. Welch has recorded three albums with world-renowned engineer/producer Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies) and garnered accolades from all over the world. Welch's songs have charted, two of which debuted at #11 on the CMJ national Top Adds chart, then spent 8 - 10 weeks on the CMJ Top 100.
