JonesBones

Singer-songwriter Nefertiti Jones and Rock Guitarist Jimi K Bones came together in 2005 to form the band JonesBones. The music is a blend of hooky melodies, urban beats and rock guitars.

Life is Perfect, their first collaborative album, was released in 2005. Since then, they have written dozens of songs including songs for upcoming artists such as Tucan Gara whose song, “Freak in the Crowd” was featured in the Huffington Post, and her music video, shot and directed by Nef was deemed one of the Top Five teen videos in 2102. The song was also a finalist in the Song of the Year contest the same year. They have written several songs with Team Adam Levine’s former Voice artist Nicolette Mare, whose song, Perfect Day garnered over 30,000 views in the first few months of its release.

Jonesbones recently released their own music video, Time Bomb in April of 2016. The song was nominated as a semi finalist in the Song of the Year song-writing contest May of 2016. And last week, “Radio Host Nicole Ryan from Sirius XM's Morning Mash Up just tweeted about Time Bomb.”

Nef and Jimi have two songs, Broken Dolls and Room 107 earmarked for a Major motion picture, Keeper of the Pinstripes The Lou Gehrig Story. In 2009 their song Blink was awarded "Runner up" in the Song of the Year.

In addition to music Nef has appeared in several National Television commercials including a Bally Fitness Campaign in which she performed her song Blink using a Les Paul Sunburst acoustic guitar. Nef has also been appeared on a VH-1 segment with Sarah Mclachlan, Natalie Merchant and Sinead O'Connor. Performed at the Lilith Fair in Portland Oregon. Appeared on MTV, Mornings on Two, Bay TV, Alice Radio, KFOG, WPKN, 99.5 FM and Tribeca Radio. She was featured in the documentary Electric Purgatory along side on Bad Brains and Living Colour. A Top 50 finalist in the American Music Awards' New Music Award contest; nominated for Best Band of the Year by San Francisco Weekly and in 2009 she recorded a duet with Thommy Price for the Joan Jett Black Heart Christmas album.
In 2005 Jonesbones opened up for Blondie at the Gibson Showroom, a benefit to help raise money for area's devastated by Tsunami.

Jimi K Bones, guitar work is extensive. Millions have heard his guitar sounds on the Monday Night Football theme for over 15 years. He has also played the theme songs for the View, Good Morning American, Prime Time Live and the Price is Right.
He has recorded and toured with Blondie in the US, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Enrique Iglesias on Live TV, Regis and Kelly, TRL, 4th of July Special for Macys, The Today Show, Last Call Carson Daly, UK appearances, BBC Enrique Special and Party In The Park-Hyde Park. He has also toured and recorded with Joan Jett and the Black Hearts throughout the United States. Most recently Jimi toured with Katrina from Katrina and the Waves, Midge Ure from Ultra Vox and China Crisis on the Retro Futura Tour throughout America.

He has recorded with the Lucy Woodward Hot and Bothered (Atlantic Records); Jonas Brothers It’s About Time (Columbia Records); Blondie Curse of Blondie (Sanctuary Records), Erin Evermore Babyphetamine (Tiger Star Records) Produced by Mike Chapman, Laura Dawn Believer (Exstasy Records/Sony), 2002 M2M The Big Room (Atlantic Records) and his own project, Skin N’ Bones Not A Pretty Sight Andy Taylor’s (Duran Duran) Equinox
