“The weather held off--in fact the sun came out as we enjoyed four strong Readers last Monday. Steven Schmidt started off with intelligent, thoughtful poetry; Louisa Calio alternated between contemplative poetry and a hilarious essay; Tom Phelan's reading from his new novel was brooding and moving; and Roxanne Hoffman topped off the evening with lyrical, delightful pieces that sent the large crowd home happy--and full of brownies and crumb cake!

Tony Iovino - Summer Gazebo Readings
“Roxanne’s poetry ventures deliciously into the realm of pure horror poetry in the vein of Lovecraft. We loved the blazing imagery in 'Dare I' and 'I Scream at Dawn’s Break' (a title that sounds very much like an old Roger Corman movie). 'Persephone’s Dream' shows Hoffman can also write subdued, stealthy verse that sneaks up on you.”
Garth Von Buchholz - Dark Eye Glances
“We found your poem 'Mother of Moses' profound in beauty and narrative quality.”
The Editors - Shofar Literary Review
“I found the combination of words and music very inspiring. These are not songs where the words tell the music where to go. These are poems floating on the waves of music.”
Niels Blomberg - LinkedIn Poets - Just A Drop of Water
“absolutely love 'This Poet Wears Prada' FANTASTIC!”
Glen Still - 10K Poets
“Roxanne cast her poetic spell upon us...[her] gripping delivery and all important message through poetry made us laugh, feel and cry. Thank you for sharing your 'life-poetry' with us. You are an amazing poet/performer.”
Tantra-zawadi, Spoken Word Artist - WORDSPACE @ Five Spot, Brooklyn, NY
“...the enthusiastic audience was treated to a broad span of excellent poetry ranging from spirited, humorous, poignant by poets Roxanne Hoffman, Samuel Menashe, Colette Inez, Hal Sirowitz, Daniel Thomas Moran and Juanita Torrence-Thompson.”
The Culvert Chronicles -"Mobius 25th Anniversary A Gala Hit"
“I can't believe that such a writer exists in the 21st Century, but it does. I have googled some of Roxanne's poems, and predict that she will end up as one of America's poet laureates or God's!”
Anne Leighton - Leighton Media
“I just arrived back home from New York and A Gathering of the Tribes Poetry Readings. The talent and presentation of the poets was simply amazing highlighted by powerful readings by Roxanne Hoffman and Amy Ouzoonian who were simply on their game.”
