Biography:

Formed in the vat of a self-purposed Music City in 2001, Look What I Did are the kind of band that rarely dare exist today. An amalgamation of musicians from other Nashville musical journeys converged to meld and sculpt influences from every corner of artistry to assault the senses and have been a freight train of technical composure and confusion ever since.

Spanning 5 records, Look What I Did have toured nationally and heavily throughout their career alongside purveyors of any music imaginable. From 2003's "My First Time" the band gained national recognition which brought their specific brand of sonic assault to Los Angeles and the doorsteps of Combat / KOCH Records. This led to the 2005 release of "Minuteman for the Moment" (produced by Brian Virtue of Jane's Addiction / Deftones / etc fame) and many miles of road. 2010 would bring another collaboration with Brian Virtue in the form of "Atlas Drugged" (Modernist Movement records) which shattered internet viewership records and featured a somewhat revised lineup. Following more and more touring 2014 would bring the oft-demanded concept exploration opera "Zanzibar III - Analog Prison" (So Say We All records).

2019 brings the release of the 5th studio album "Sympathy Porn" (So Say We All records) and with it a renewed vigor and plan of attack. A veritable jawbreaker of audio and video continues in the form of Look What I Did - innumerable layers provide intentional barriers to casual listeners while also providing reward with sweet, deliciously melodic hooks woven throughout each piece. Akin to a Netflix session of binge-watching shows and switching on a whim "Sympathy Porn" is a modern continuance of a long standing tradition in havoc and pleasure twisted together by a maelstrom of life experience and political / sexual satire.

Join the almost 2 decade and running journey of Look What I Did and whatever you do, don't jump off the train.

Press:

"Nashville’s Look What I Did originated eons ago in rock years, coming onto the scene at the turn of the millennium as Southern counterparts to Seattle’s Blood Brothers, New Jersey’s The Dillinger Escape Plan and other purveyors of hair-raising metallic post-hardcore. Those bands are long gone, but LWID has survived. They’re a gang of musical omnivores who have over time built an idiosyncratic body of work that couches skyward-aiming hooks and biting social commentary inside technical wizardry and unapologetic nerdiness. (“We make it hard to listen to on purpose,” bandleader Barry Donegan has said with pride.)"
Charlie Zaillan - Nashville Scene

"Barry Donegan has a soaring, precise voice, and with all the vibes and moods LWID explore, it feels like someone is randomly hitting radio station presets... LWID have continuity and songs providing a support structure for their experimentation"
Kevin Stewart-panko - Decibel Magazine

"Look What I Did are the missing link between the Beach Boys and Lightning Bolt"
Metal Hammer

"LOOK WHAT I DID... is the sort of band that nudges the bar upward for everyone, and makes that much more room for individual quirkiness and deliberate madness in the overall metal canon"
Blabbermouth.net

"with numerous moments of genius routinely explored, there are twisted visions here that not even hallucinogenic's could provide."
