1- Macha is French and has Russian origins. She first appeared on the music scene in 2004 as the singer with the French band Vegomatic, (surf music, electronic sounds and vintage pop music from the 60/70 's).
 Macha then went on to form a duo with composer and musical director Thierry Los. In this formation, Thierry played the guitar, and Macha played synthesizers and electronic gadgets. Together they followed in the footsteps of the most famous French duos (a nod to Hardy-Dutronc) without being a million miles away from Bourvil-Jacqueline Maillant).
 After the Vegomatic years, Macha decided to keep working with Thierry and carried on composing and recording new songs with a more intimate feel. Even if the album was written in the heart of Paris, facing Notre-Dame, it is it’s Russian side that strikes us most.
 For Macha, it was a chance to tell her story and to draw on her Russian-French upbringing. What Macha really wanted, was to sing about her early years remembering her childhood (Pomnish' ty li vremia, L'arbre et moi), dreaming a lot, imagining situations that would be best for conjuring up a feeling of escaping from one’s roots whilst searching for a forgotten ideal (Mon coeur à Baikal, Bez kompasa). It evokes haunting dreams (Sacha, Alone in the city), pokes fun at everyday life, whilst allowing her to fantasize, mocking the myth of love and keeping freedom in check (Otviajhis', Utrom-Dnem-Vecherom-Nochiu, Watch me Baba Yaga). Zakajhi vodku-regliss on the other hand is an ode to the lightness of life to which Macha seems to give a special importance. With unfaltering emotion, Macha’s voice is heartfelt and sends a shudder down your spine and yet it has a soothing tone, this combination goes towards giving the songs a “lived-in” feeling. The listener gets drawn in and when the record ends on the haunting theme Macha s'enfuit, the natural reaction is to listen to the whole album again, that’s just how mesmerising Macha’s stories are ...
Macha is a trained actress who enjoys performing on stage in front of an audience. She invents characters and attitudes that enchant the audience who are charmed by her spontaneity and natural charm.
A successful combination of glamorous French and Slavic beauty which is as pleasant to the eye as it is to the ear.

2- Музыкант, актриса и модель, француженка с русскими корнями, Маша впервые стала известна как фронтвумен французской группы Vegomatic. Их электронный хулиганский серф пришелся в середине 2000х как нельзя кстати — группа ездила на гастроли по всей Европе, о них писали Jalouse и Vogue, их записи звучали в эфирах французских радиостанций Rock 30, FIP, OUI FM, RFI, Radio Nova, Aligre FM, а клипы ротировались на каналах каналы France 2, France 3, M6 и MTV. Треки Vegomatic использовались в рекламных роликах Hugo Boss Energize, Lacoste и Eau Jeune.
В конце 90х Vegomatic несколько раз приезжали в Россию, выступая на фестивалях портала Звуки.Ру, играя на одних площадках с Земфирой и «Вежливым Отказом». В итоге, после распада группы, Маша решила вернуться на историческую родину. Вернулась она не одна, а с сольным альбомом ''Alone in the city'', записанным в Париже на пару с бывшим коллегой по Vegomatic композитором Тьерри Лосом. В альбом вошли песни на трех языках — Маша пишет и поет по-французски, по-английски и по-русский с очаровательным акцентом.
В декабре прошлого года Маша, вместе с собранной ею в России группой, представила альбом ''Alone in the city'' в одном ииз самых прогрессивных концертных клубов столицы — China Town Cafe. Кроме рок-программы, Маша выступает с программой классического французского шансона (дуэт «Жозефин и Максим» уже гастролирует по России), а также принимает участие как "София" в концертах Олега Кострова (экс-»Нож для фрау Мюллер») и его нового проекта «Supersonic Future».
