When you think of progressive dance music, names like Deadmau5, Daft Punk and Benny Benassi may have come to mind. These are artist that have peaked at the top of the dance charts and have made millions of party-goers move in ways they never thought possible. Over the past decade, there has been an evolution in dance music which has inspired a new generation of DJs, including ei8ht. Born and raised in Corona, Ca. ei8ht has been a musician since he was old enough to put a trumpet in his mouth. By the time he was fifteen years old, ei8ht developed a keen sense of how to put together different tracks of music using a standard workstation keyboard. Over the past few years ei8ht has grown out of his Southern California roots and has established himself as a progressive house producer to be reckoned with nation-wide. Railroading his way to Matt Darey's Nocturnal Sunshine 90 with his smash single "My Desire" featuring Samantha Newark and acclaimed remixes by Revolvr and Zorastras to name a couple. Theres no question of the ability of this young prodigy. One would have to say that this producer has come a long way from his trumpet playing days. To his credit, ei8ht owes his success to music. Without it where would we be?

“Yesterday, I was lucky enough to comment on “My Desire” by ei8ht with vocals by Samantha Newark (my thoughts: I love it and we even “dance tested” it in my office right now -- kinda of reminds me of a Tiesto and Kirsty Hawkshaw collaboration). Today it was a link to a new unreleased Z-Trip remix with Slug from Atmosphere. It’s Z-Trip, which means it’s incredible.
