Biography:

Having grown up in Lubbock Texas amongst some of the best songwriters of the time, Colin moved to Austin as a teenager and hit the music scene. He recently released his second full-length album "Goodnight Lane," which has won him fans and critical acclaim the world over. Mojo Magazine gave the album a 4-star review, as did Uncut. The Hartford Courant said "Colin Gilmore has the best country album of the year," though acknowledging that calling the album "country" would be a gross oversimplification.

Colin has opened for everyone from Mason Jennings to Alejandro Escovedo and The Flatlanders, who recorded Colin's song "The Way We Are" on their album "Hills And Valleys," only to see the song become their biggest-selling download. As the Austin-American Statesman's Michael Corcoran states, "These are song's you're going to want to hear live."

Press:

"Colin is clearly his own man in his own world. His easygoing, conversational voice summons the same spirits Woody Guthrie and the young Bob Dylan walked with."
John Swenson - Twisted South

"A West Texan Nick Lowe"
Sylvie Simmons - Mojo Magazine

"Gilmore again displays a youthful vision that's crafty, full of cogent insight, and endlessly tuneful."
Jim Caligiuri - The Austin Chronicle

"No one region or famed bloodline can lay full claim to Gilmore's own Midas touch at crafting the perfect rootsy pop song, because talent that pure just can't be inherited or soaked up by any amount of osmosis."
Richard Skanse - Lone Star Music Magazine
