Ronnie Long – Vocals and Lead Guitar
Ronnie Long comes straight out of Compton AR. His father traded a flat bed pickup truck to their mid wife's husband to pay for his birth. He was born into musical family steeped in gospel and ol' time country. His nights and weekends were filled with song as family member would gather en' mass to play and sing.
Ronnie left the Ozarks and headed for Memphis TN. at the age of sixteen with a scholarship to Overton School of Performing Arts where he excelled in Jazz Guitar and Music Theory. During his 5 years in Memphis he opened for such notable acts as Shenandoah, The Young Dubliners, And The P. Funk All-Stars. From there he headed west to Santa Barbra CA. There he worked in the music industry for Seymour Duncan where he mingled with performers from Areosmith to ZZ Top
Ronnie's style is a fusion of Folk and Blues influenced from his youth and his time in Memphis TN. His lead guitar abilities are always a fan favorite when the South Ozark Boys play. He can make a guitar weep with joy or scream with excitement with a touch of his hand.
