Biography:

Daniele Tolu is Zabu's lead vocals and guitar. He leads the duo on their first album "W.E. - wasted enterteinment" , downloadable from the ReverbStore

He started writing songs in 2009, but played with a lot of bands before he started his own project. However, during his musical growth as an author, singer, composer and guitarist, he found the alternative band "the Zabu" with Matteo Melis(drummer) and the acoustic duo "Phydan's Acoustic Stories" with Physan aka Alessandro Pisano (lead guitar). He also recorded with Offman the song "sister pt. 2", featured in the "sarò di più" Album of the young rapper.
As Alessandro Pisano joined and left the Zabu, they were in stand by, waiting for the band to be whole again. In the meantime, Dan composed and produced new material in acoustic, like the unplugged single "Daisy". Francesco "Feccia" Sanna enters Zabu's formation in septembre 2013 as Lead Guitar, Riccardo Argiolas does the same as the bassman.

In 2014 "Feccia" has been kicked out of the band, and the Zabu filled it's role with the even better Edoardo Pira as the band's lead guitar. Dan wrote many songs in the meantime, like the single "The Awakening".
The live session recording "Every Precious Knife" was recorded at the end of 2014, as Dan writed more for the Zabu and for himself. Some of the material has been published in 2015

In 2016 Dan and the Zabu featured in Radiolina's "salaprove", radio show that presented underground artists. The band played the acoustic versions of "make a sight" and "paris". With the summer break the band was at a crossroad. Dan decided it was time to work on himself.
A great event called Zabufest was prepared to wave goodbye.

Back to working solo after ten years, the ex-leader of the Alternative Rock band prepares his new project.
2017 sees Dan launching some new stuff. While slowly working on a new Album in collaboration with Matteo Melis(ex Zabu drummer) as rythm guitar and secondary vocals, to present a totally new band taking in the Zabu's legacy, a totally different challenge awaits: With Alberto Pantaleo, Tcp's leader and bassist, as his Kyle Gass, Dan gets in Jack Black's shoes with the Tenacious Re, a D tribute band.
