Same Mistake Twice [twitter.com/sm2x] is a pop/punk band from Boston. All the members attend Berklee College of Music and have their own original style which makes their collective style totally unique. Their original songs are melodically up beat with lyrics that convey a much deeper meaning than at first listen. They played a few Warped Tour gigs in 2009 and are planning on playing the entire tour next year.
"Same Mistake Twice reworks some punk-y cover tunes, but its their collection of original compositions, penned mainly by Dixon, which sets them apart from their contemporaries. The songs are powerful, emotional and gritty, but still polished garage punk."
Josh Kotzen - The Sandpaper
“The band has a stripped-down, garage band sort of grit, giving a sharper edge to Dixon’s vocals, particularly on irony- and emotion-laced tracks like “Desirable Calamity” and “Saturday Night,” where she gets to let loose with conflicting emotions and no small amount of venom.”
