Biography:

Our name dates back to before any of us were in the band. We were named by mathematician lam9. Legend has it, Colin (original FC member) and lam9 were discussing names for a not yet formed band when lam9 took a puff of her cigarette and sighed "why don't you just call it Fluff Chick". Colin went on to form Fluff Chick as a duo with Jeff and then added (many) others along the way. Since the beginning Fluff Chick has had approximately 9.5 members. Colin lives in Miami now, saving the Everglades and writing fake brit-pop tunes. Anyway, historians have argued furiously about what exactly lam9 meant. Some say she was raised on the Ohio/West Virgina Border, which points towards a big hair reference. Others have argued that she liked baby chickens and porn. Currently we are four, Anne, Jeff, Kevin and Kris play once a week in the Carrboro Sugar Shack (CSS).
