Biography:

Jordii Li was born the youngest of three in the South Bronx to Latino and West Indian parents, It was then during those early years that he held a passion for the pen starting with the writing of poetry, he says, "I remember writing a poem for a girl in elementary school and never giving it to her, I enjoyed the way it felt to put words together and express how I feel on paper", later on he would fuse those passions with his gift of writing to focus on the art of songwriting. Life provides us all with lessons in our journey, he fell victim to peer pressure and the ramifications of it lead nowhere. Diverted to the lord he was saved in church, giving up his original hopes of becoming a rapper and refocused on his talents to writing poetry and songs. He continued to hone his talents and was quickly hired to do A&R at GoGettaz Entertainment which managed artists signed to Bad Boy. It was there that he visited his first recording studio and was instantly addicted to the creative process of making music. Since then he has picked up the moniker "Jordy Writes" and penned songs for several performers including platinum artist Carl Thomas, Omarion, Cheri Dennis, Brandon Beal, Daniel Lindstorm (Swedish Idol 2004) and One Chance and others. Equipped with a tenacity and desire to achieve greatness, Jordy is being viewed by his industry colleagues as an incredibly gifted writer on the rise.
