Biography:

Steel sensations is a 4 piece band lead by native Trinidadian steel panist Debra 'Sista D Sarjeant, Debra started playing pan at a very young age and started touring with her father 'Denzil Belt Botus" and his band Real Steel' at age 13, Debra has won 8 consecutive times as arranger for Hartford steel symphony, and once for Boston pan jammers in the Panorama competition held yearly,Debra also works for Holland America cruise lines cruising the Caribbean in the winter months doing her one woman show,Debra also works for 'Bahama Breeze' as a solo musician doing her one woman show 4/5 times a week from may to sept,Debra is an accomplished producer,song writer,keyboardist as well,mainly doing one woman shows I also do pan trio's/4 piece, The band members are mostly family ,on percussion and drums is 4 time Grammy nominated drummer Marcus' Rangotan" smith rango hails from Jamaica and was the former drummer for Black Uhuru and Sugar Minot,The duo are also leaders of the multi award wining reggae band Dis n Dat band, the group has toured extensively and backed many major artist like Pato banton,Everton Blender Sista Nancy Anthony B ,John Holt,Lady Saw,Mikey Spice and many more,on keys and additional steel drums is Charleston Sarjeant ,Charleston sarjeant has been playing steel drums from the age of 8 and currently teaches steel drums ,also on percussion and vocals Quianna Sarjeant, Debra has been playing steel drums professionally for 30 years she started here career in the early 80"s playing and traveling the U.S. with 'REAL STEAL' her Father was the leader of the band and also the person she learned most of her musical skills from, Sista Dee currently does over 200 shows per year,playing for many hotels,restaurants,private parties,special events,colleges,concerts,Sista Dee also Teaches steel drum classes and workshops, she has played with artists such as Taj Mahal,Pheobe Snow and many more as a steel drummer,the group plays a mixture of traditional calypso,reggae and jazz standards, not only do we play but we ad a touch of singing and dancing as well!
