Fresh out of high school, Mista Raja began his career as an intern for Eddie F at Untouchable Records. After writing a song for one of Eddie F’s artists, he realized his writing prowess could be an asset not only to himself, but other artists as well. After a chance meeting with Hip-Hop tycoon, Sean “P.Diddy” Combs, Mista Raja’s inventive songwriting skills were summoned to the hit single, “Satisfy You” and “PE 2000” off the mogul’s Forever album. Thus, Mista Raja’s career as a writer/producer was launched to another level with endless writing opportunities. His gift has contributed to the works of an array of phenomenal artists such as Lil' Kim, Barry White, KRS-One, Akon, R. Kelly, Gym Class Heroes, The Game, B.G. and the chart topping hit, Maino’s “Hi Hater.” As the recipient of a BMI Writers Award for his work on P. Diddy's chart-topping single, "Come To Me" in 2007 and Grammy nominee, his career continues to soar with a discography that incorporates multiple genres, and serves as a testament to Mista Raja's impeccable ear for hit records.
Mista Raja has proven to be a product of true determination. A fact validated when his talents caught the ear of Jean Nelson, Head of A&R Hip Hop Since 1978, and he was hired to the A&R team. Mista Raja proven he has the unique ability to turn intellectual property into a revenue stream. That talent is critical to the success of this venture.
