Steven Williams’ songs are featured on 4 gold records. “Where Have I Been All My Life” recorded by George Strait is on “Twang” (2009 release) has been heralded as one of the most poignant songs of Strait’s career. “Redneck Yacht Club” (recorded by Craig Morgan) has been certified platinum and went to #1 in 2005 when it became one of the most downloaded songs of the year. ASCAP called it “The summer song of the year.” Its popularity spawned the official website http://www.redneckyachtclub.com and several businesses as well.
American Idol’s Bucky Covington released, “A Fathers Love (the Only Way He Knew How)”, another Williams’ write, and it received rave reviews from country radio, being quoted as Bucky’s best yet. Canadian artists High Valley, also recorded the song and were awarded “Song & Video of the Year” at the 2011 GMA Awards.
