Ross Vick performs as TrueHeart in homage to his ancestral roots as his forefathers ran cattle in Texas under the E-Heart brand: Espiritu de Corazon: Spirit of the Heart. His solo performances conjure the rock, pop, jazz, folk and country of his formative years. His records allow his love of production and the recording process to enhance and embellish the art of his songwriting, but never overbearing it or as an excuse for the songs themselves. His easy going vocal style and contemplative lyrics and hummable melodies make his recordings perfect companions for long drives, runs or walks. Or just siting at your desk cleaning out your in box, or cooking dinner or writing those long overdue thank you notes. His are the kinds of songs that you will send to a friend or a love with a note that says, "Hey! I was thinking of you when I heard this song." Ross's mission is to leave the world better than he found it. His songs are a good start.
