Biography:

Marvell are a three-piece grime/hip hop/urban music group from Tottenham, North London, comprised of MCs Double S, Vertex, and Shocka.

Vertex's parallel career as a Director/Editor working for musicians such as Wretch 32 (Blackout lyric video), Little Mix (Wings), JLS (Do You Feel What I Feel) MK1 (Let Go), and The Noisettes (Don't Upset the Rhythm) has been an important part of Marvell's development, allowing the group to regularly upload new videos with high production quality to their website and social media feeds.

Marvell have released several mixtapes between 2009 to 2013. The series better known as Marvell FM was recognised when the group won the category of Best Newcomer at the Official Mixtape Awards in January 2010. They also won the Best Music Video from a Mixtape 2010 category at the second OMAs, announced in 2011 and again most recently in 2012.

In 2012 Marvell peaked in the Australian Aria charts at No.5 after teaming up with producers Too Fresh to produce the track ‘Hotel Party’ under the Klub Kids label. This encouraged them to experiment with their sound and they are now working with a new team of producers worldwide on their upcoming album.

Before the album is released the highly anticipated mixtape ‘Marvell FM5’ will be released. Marvell have teamed up with some old friends and there are some surprise features too.

Marvell are now sponsored by Jagermeister and are currrently developing new merchandise that will be available for sale early 2014. You can also look out for some Jagermeister collaborations in the near future.
