The band started doing shows back in the end of 1998 and it was a 4 piece band. Over the years we decided to add a 2nd guitar because we believe it was more powerfull live. There has been a lot of change over the years and the fun part is no one ever left because of fights inside the band some people moved on with their life (kids etc...) or got into working in other projects. Right now me and Stephane are remaining from the original line up. The other members are Jaime (guitard) Martin (bass) and John (lead guitard).

“More Oi! music. The Prowlers are an oi band from Montreal, Canada. The band was formed sometime around the year 2000, when they issued an album called "Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow" (from the Ramones song Here Today, Gone Tomorrow). Their second and last relesae was an Ep in 2003 "Chaos in the City". Their music is heavily influenced by british classic oi from the early 80's; made two covers, the 4 skins and Oppressed. They are strongly supporting antifascism but not in the songs.Their lyrics are oi based (violence, streetlife, drinking, working class). The band isn't that active anymore, but i've heared they are preparing to do a few shows. They made an appearance on the Skinhead Attitude.
Classic oi tunes, Enjoy.”

“A dominant force in the Montreal skinhead scene, The Prowlers stand and deliver when it comes to no-nonsense street rock-n-roll. The band formed in a practice local in October 1998. After only four months of practice, their first gig would take place at the Jailhouse on Jan. 25, 1999. A few gigs would follow, mostly in and around Montreal, but also across the east coast of North America.
From their first recording, (We’re Taking Back The Pubs, 1999) to their 5-song MCD (Chaos in the City, 2003), the Prowlers have issued some rousing releases and toured extensively as far afield as Germany, Italy, Poland, and Switzerland under various lineup changes.
As the group currently prepares itself for another tour of duty in Europe, fans eagerly await a future release on Insurgence Records under a brand new lineup. Watch this space!

“Great cd, has sing along riffs, with a heavy sound. Plus they do a badass Oppressed cover of Joe Hawkins”

“What can you say about The Prowlers but one of the best Oi! bands that are coming up. They got their own aggressive sound that no other band can match, I suggest you give this album a couple of plays before you write a review, cause then you'll see how good this band is.”
Andrew - LA - interpunk
“Montreal's top Oi! band.
For more than thirteen years now The Prowlers have been heard around the world, and of course, in their hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
The Prowlers are an Oi! band and that will never change. They still remain inspired by most of the classic British Oi! bands that created the original spirit of rebellion in the early 80's, but are also inspired by contemporary bands such as Wretched Ones, Guttersnipe, Loikaemie and Bonecrusher.
A larger influence on the band, and more important to them is where they come from, the city of Montreal and the legacy of great bands. It's their roots, and they are proud to continue to build on the groundwork of those that have come before
