Biography:

I moved to Albany in August of 2007 to go to grad school at SUNY Albany for Nanoscience. At that time, I began to use my M-Audio MobilePre USB box to record some musical ideas that have been floating around my head since college. After a while, these ideas snowballed into a somewhat cohesive and serious project combining mathematics, punk rock, ecology, spirituality, quantum mechanics, sex, anarchy, paranoia, nerdery, psychedelia and noise.

I started playing music at age 6 with the violin, learning the guitar around age 15 by playing the Minor Threat and Operation Ivy discographies ad nauseum. I played in Sonar Mellowship during high school and The Cross Product in college. I currently play fretless bass and sing in Density of States, an Albany-area indie rock band. Also, recently my friend and I (Mismatched Socks on RN) started an acoustic/light amplified irreverent garage deathpunk band called Undefined Auguments in which I play acoustic/electric bass.

Press:

“In The Thick of It is unstoppably catchy at times, and unflinchingly annoying at others, but it has personality and passion throughout. It would sit fairly nicely alongside Sister, Zen Arcade, and Double Nickles in the record collections of many 80s/90s independent music afficinodos.”
John Britt (The SIxteen Points) - RPM 2008 Album Review Thread

“_11:34 "Sparse Traceless Matrix": Sounds like a poetry reading over random instruments. Tense rhymes with a punk aesthetic. Melodies surface, when he's not dazzling you with his deadpan delivery.”
