Larry Pancake is slowly becoming a household name. The Nashville Recording Artist, singer/songwriter was raised in Flatwoods, a small eastern Kentucky town running along the famed "Country Music Highway" where Billy Ray Cyrus, Loretta Lynn, Ricky Scaggs, The Judds and many more hail. His style of music has been described as country/rock and blues, saturated with musical influences from Paul Rogers, Eddie Money, and Elvis to local artists like Exile, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Mike Murphy. He has created his own style of singing and performing that includes an extremely wide vocal range and has been reviewed as original and very energetic. “ A family friendly show that leaves the audience with a positive experience” Larry has had several of his songs used for TV and documentaries from all over the world, along with appearing in several regional TV and radio commercials. Larry will release his 3rd studio album in July of 2014 on the indie label 9 Lives Records. Larry spends his time doing fairs, festivals, and theaters as the main or supporting act. " Eastern Kentucky country artist Larry Pancake has dropped another rock-solid release, "Fair Weather Friend," with his all-star band and on Gary Kesling's 9 Lives Records.
The release of the CD was celebrated at a packed event at SkyTower in downtown Ashland. Pancake's been making his rounds appearing on The Dawg this week and playing Ironton's Feel Good Concert Series on Tuesday.
