"Firebug give a fresh take on a classic sound with their newly released single "Run". - The Fire Note May 2021
The Fire Note

"The vocal are outstanding in this track. They got a whole range of feelings stacked: vulnerable, melancholic, energetic, sassy there's a ton of nuances happening with the melodic lush style." - Gas Mask Magazine 2021
Princess Carroll - Gas Mask Magazine

"Firebug deftly melds a myriad of styles and influences with a dynamic collection that should garner attention beyond their Southern California confines. Vocalist Juliette Tworsey is the star attraction, soaring on every cut with an expansive soulful range and often harmonizing with herself to punctuate the passionate content of her lyrics. The boys in the band are no slouches either, fusing melody, counterpoint, and expert musicianship without overstepping their bounds. Whether quoting Delta blues, glam-folk, bombastic arena-rock or dabbling with breezy California pop, Fire Bug has the tools to grab the brass ring and then some." ALL MUSIC GUIDE Review by Tom Semioli
Tom Semioli - AllMusic

“If “Follower” stings with certain timeliness, the debut single “Wine Water, and Bread” soothes with old wisdom. Here (Juliette) Tworsey reassures the satisfying capacity of the little things and asserts even “time is a perception, so I hear when you got wine, water, and bread."”
Lybys Zambrano - Listen Now Music

" 'Sinner' embarks on a Blues infused new rock genre that has yet to named. Truly a once in a generation voice in lead singer Juliette Tworsey"
Jason Velazquez - Greylock Glass

" After sincere efforts to enjoy Jenny Lewis solo record, I'm all the more impressed by women who never play the coy/precious card, but plain old kick ass and shoot prisoners: Witness L.A.s Firebug (tonight, 3/16, Satalite). This is a classic roots-rock band with a truly special singer named Juliette Tworsey, who sings bold and tough but a little broken, smart but not wise. Minor chords and lotsa stiff-upper-lip heartbreak and slide guitars. WARNING: CONTAINS NO EMO SELF-PITY. (Looks like they also play Hangar 1018 on 3/24.) "
L.A. Weekly

"With a powerful and personal voice, Juliette Tworsey weaves together dreamlike pop and psychedelia into a unique and modern sound. Firebug tinkers with melodies, space and guitar heaviness, precisely excecuted into amazing melodies and song pearls. Brilliant and timeless."
Danne Palm - DAGENS ARBETE SWEDEN

"Firebug is a psychedelic/indie rock band that blends folk, hard rock, pop, grunge and blues, into a dark, smoky and seductive sound that has just a bit of a hypnotic pulse, drenched in a mystic feel that recalls 70s era classic rock. With an effortless groove, powerful yet strangely soothing vocals, and smart lyrics, this is a band that is thrillingly unafraid of experimenting.”
Indie Rock Television - VIRV TV

" FIREBUG play another show for their February Wednesday Residency at Skinny's Lounge in North Hollywood. Firebug is an awesome band that give a modern flare to the psychedelic and blues based sounds of 70’s rock."
LA Weekly Scene

"We love the 70's blues, Zeppelin inspired sound of this LA psychedelic group."
METROMIX - METROMIX Los Angeles

"Equal parts folk, hard rock, pop, grunge and blues, all blended into a dark, smoky and seductive sound that has just a bit of a hypnotic pulse, FireBug kicks out a sound that recalls 70's era classic rock. "
Herald Express UK

" Firebug is a transplanted Chicago quartet with some formidable Zeppelinesque licks and a front woman, Juliette Tworsey, with flaming red hair and a bit of moxie to match. They’re the [Skinny's Lounge] resident band on Wednesdays this month — yes, Eastside hipsters, they have residencies in North Hollywood too."
Kevin Bronson - BUZZBANDS L.A.

" Firebug have one positive foot in the 70’s, folk rock, restrained touches of Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac while their other foot is positively planted in the U.S. radio-friendly alternative rock. Lush, strongly-voiced classic American alternative hard rock, twelve impressive tracks, no fillers, just classic melodic hardrock – simple as that, classic song-based guitar driven beautifully-voiced impressive imaginative classic melodic rock "
Organ Magazine UK

" This band exuded attitude, and with fuzzed-out, gritty guitar riffs that would make Jack White blush, and a strikingly beautiful, near-operatic vocal performance, they provided an incredibly entertaining show. I’ve been sitting here now for about ten minutes trying to find an ...apt way to fully describe Fire Bug’s sound, but I can’t really do it. They rock, but they’re vibey, too. They’re sassy, yet nuanced. What more can I say? Fire Bug need to be experienced to be appreciated."
Zack Smith - The Spotlight

"Opening the Strongbow Stage, the foursome of FIREBUG wake up everyone in the cider vicinity with a cool set fusing a blues vibe over a core base of rock. The sound is a welcome start to the day. Perhaps it is the fact that they have brought some of the Californian summer sound with them from their homeland. Perhaps it's the fact that the band keeps you guessing with a totally credible variety building upon the styles already mentioned. The power generated by the foursome is impressive, and rather than simply blatting your ears with loud noise, the band creates a really structured sound that melodiously satisfies your eardrums. Needless to say, the crowd response is favourable!"
Elvira - Amazing Radio UK

"Firebug comes from the fertile lands of New Orleans, where traditions are sacred and music abounds around every corner. I think that great city has another reason to be proud and it comes in the form of the band called Firebug. They are a jambalaya of music that consist of rock and psychedelic sounds that will entice you and mesmerize you. This is the kind of band that puts their heart and soul into every song and you can feel it come through when you hear them play."

“Firebug Blends Optimism with Blistering rock ‘n’ roll fury on “Strange Days” Elmore is premiering “Strange Days,” the third single from the band’s upcoming release. The duo says of the song, “[it] is an attempt to garner a simple assessment of the world around us from the perspective of an onlooker, one who has a strong desire for escapism from the daily woes and struggles of the average person. It is also a step back from a world that appears, on the surface, to be increasingly divided and polarized to extremes. In that reflection comes a certain acceptance that even though the world may not always make sense, we push on and do the best that we can as we approach yet another day.” Tworsey’s deep, throaty rock ‘n’ roll croon adds a sense of power and uplift to the track, emerging from the swirl of electric guitar and smashing drums. “Keep my head above the sand, just trying to do the best that I can,” Tworsey sings with an earthy fury,”
Elmore Magazine Premieres - Elmore Magazine

" Firebug are a dirty blues rock duo from New Orleans, LA that you need to hear posthaste. With a new 13-track album dubbed Homeostasis on the way, we're stoked to get you familiar with the group's sound via the premiere of their single "Sinner". "Sinner" is a lesson in how modern bluesy swamp rock should both sound and feel. Juliette Tworsey's vocals perfectly match the song's great groove and it's truly hard to avoid listening to the song on repeat. Of the song Tworsey noted, "While none of us are perfect, we all have an intrinsic need to be free - despite our many imperfections."

" FireBug’s new album "Wandering Soul" was produced by Chris Goss (Queens of the Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys, Kyuss, Masters of Reality) and shows off the duo’s bluesy alt rock sensibilities. Yahoo Music is excited to premiere the video for single “Wine, Water & Bread” for fans to get a taste."
