Biography:

Brett Talley has been involved with music since the 3rd grade. His musical career includes his two years as lead guitarist and producer for the Philly based pop-rock act, OutSet, lead guitarist for one of Philadelphia’s most popular rock outfits, IKE and The Caulfields, and now as a solo artist. Brett also performs as lead guitarist and secondary vocalist in the Philly cover band Bangarang.

In 2008, Brett released his first self-produced solo album, "LUSH," which featured more of Brett's pop sensibilities. The release of his most recent darker solo effort, the free digital download EP, “Emancipator,” earned him a 2009 Homey Award (of 93.7 WSTW’s Hometown Heroes hosted by Mark Rogers) for “Best EP,” along with “Best Rock Song of 2009,” for the song “The Future’s in the Rhythm Now,” as well as his third consecutive Homey Award for lead guitarist. Brett also won for "Rock Song of the Year" for the song "Contagious." Brett has won 14 Homey Awards in various categories since their inception in 2007, holding the record for most wins.

Brett’s music contains emotional pop-rock sounds with darker and more haunting elements which define his unique style. Brett remains committed to offering his skills as a recording engineer and producer to interested artists and bands along with continuing to write, record and produce new music of his own as well as with IKE and The Caulfields.

In August of 2019, Brett released his solo album "Perpetual States" recorded and mixed in his home studio Brett Sounds. The album blends the genres of rock, pop and singer/songwriter sounds while telling a story that will speak to the humanity in each of us. In February of 2020, Brett released a music video for the song "Such Love" which was directed by Vin Colella of Colorfield Media. The video had 2,000 views in just 24 hours.

Brett released his sophomore album, "Nonlinear," recorded at Brett Sounds Studio alongside drummer Jason Miraglia, on Friday, February 12, 2021.
