Virtual Terrorist was formed in the summer of 2001 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Mastermind Siborg set out to make noisy aggressive club music by fusing industrial noise styles with classic 90’s style club techno. The result was the rhythmic force that defines Virtual Terrorist’s style. With the current release of Cyber Punks Unite and the accompanying free single Welcome To Cryodyne (http://virtualterrorist.bandcamp. com/album/welcome-to-cryodyne-single) comes the evolution of the bands message. It’s simple, fight technology with technology! Cyber Punks Unite sets the stage for the deep story which will unfold over several albums singles and one off tracks, set in a futuristic utopian world where everything is run by a mega corporation/government entity. A small renegade force is fighting against the brainwashing, human testing, and globalization. You pick the side you want to win, this story is for you to decide what happens.
To make the project whole Siborg hired on Gotthavok (Chaos Theory, Perceptor) and Evan Collingwood (Psykkle, Serenity Cell, Replicunt) to bring the noise to the stage. Using visual aesthetics of cyber punk culture, post apocalyptic, and industrial to set the mood they unleash their high energy sets upon the masses.
They have shared the stage with acts such as Atari Teenage Riot, En Esch & Mona Mur, God Module, Left Spine Down, Imperative Reaction, and many others.
Siborg is also a founding member of iVardensphere but is no longer helping write songs. He is a local live member.
