Haystax started as a "one-time-only-gig-among-friends" at a local jam session in 1999. The crowd wanted more, so the band was born. What followed was a CD, and concerts in Germany, UK, New Zealand.
Haystax also supported Cuby & the Blizzards, and the Supremes, and where supported by Tavares, the Three Degrees and Eddie Floyd on their first album.
Lately, Haystax performes a lot as featuring artist with fullsize orchestra's. They played with the Royal Dutch Military Wind Orchestra "Johan Willem Friso".
In december 2010, Haystax got a record deal for 2 records with Kivi Music/Kala Entertainment (Atlanta, USA). Their first CD "Showdown in Motor City" was released in the iTunes Store, and will be distributed in the USA through Select-O-Hits. Haystax are currently working on their 2nd CD wich should be ready around march/april 2011.
