Genre: Folk
Tym Priest is an incredible and unique singer/songwriter/guitarist. He has been honing his musical skills for over 40 years. While incomparable, Tym fits nicely in the vein of other folk-rock icons like John Denver, Dan Fogelberg and James Taylor. Quite simply, Tym Priest is a Crafter of Fine Songs.
Tym, along with Eddie, was half of the duo that recorded and performed under the name Johnny Nowhere and in 1988 "Music From Nowhere" became their first release. After adding Brian Locke to the lineup, the second Johnny Nowhere album, "Going Nowhere Fast", was released in 1991. Eddie still records as Johnny Nowhere and his recordings are highly recommended listening.
After a long hiatus from the music scene but all the while continuing to write and record, Tym began performing again in the Summer of 2009. In 2010 Tym released "Crafter of Fine Songs" (limited edition), "Back From Nowhere" and "Flying Solo" on CD and has many new releases, projects and performances in the works. Three new CDs, "Dossier", "The Eagle, the Trickster and the Jewel" and "Tributaries" are scheduled for release in 2011. With over 3 decades of performing and almost 100 original songs to his credit, Tym has plenty of experience and material to draw upon. Tym Priest is back from Nowhere!!
