ZamaPara is a 5 piece indie rock band from New Orleans , Louisiana. The group specializes in artfully crafted intimate songwriting which is blended with their influences of the likes of: Dave Matthews Band, Counting Crows, Paul Simon, Bob Marley and The Police to name a few. The end result is an innovative style of straight forward heartfelt melodies that are steeped in Rock/Americana but have a strong dose of reggae/ska influences along with a New Orleans flavor twist of having dueling percussionist and funk overtones. This combination makes ZamaPara’s unique style flow and it comes through via their live performances which is always a high energy show that will get people dancing as well as entertain the audience with its storytelling. Either way, you will always be along for the ride as an active participant at a ZamaPara show!
ZamaPara has played many shows at some of the biggest and well known clubs in metro New Orleans: Tipitina's, Howlin' Wolf, Carrolton Station, 12 Bar, to name a few, and now they are looking to expand their reach to other clubs in the city as well as outside of Louisiana.
