RONNIE “SPORTCOAT” OVERTON

The dynamic Ronnie “Sport Coat” Overton, came into the world with a ear for music. The musical pioneer born to Christine and Norman Overton. Whom encouraged Sport Coat to wake up to his dreams. Born and raised in Pontiac Michigan. Mr. Sport Coat began at an early age playing his first instrument, the violin. It was on from there. He knew that this is what he wanted to do. Pursue his career as a musician. He went on to playing the cello. During the late sixties Mr. Sport Coat became a great fan of the Beatles and watched them as they swooned him with the guitar. Mr. Sport Coat next goal was do learn to play it. Did he accomplish that. Yes! with a bang. He had to have his own guitar. Now it was time to make some great music. In 1972 Mr. Sport Coat landed his first gig with Ronnie McNeir’S touring band. His career was now on fire, Mr. Sport Coat went on laying for many others, the legendary Kim Weston, the 50 doo-woop band the Del-Vikings

Now it was time produce his skills. Mr. Sport Coat went on to produce and compose an all time hit with a twist "When The Smoke Clears". The twist was the song was based on his life experience. Having taken God with him Mr. Sport Coat proceeded to grow in his career as a jazz musician. Mr. Overton received the name Sport Coat, because only he can wear like a sport and win every time with a mix of his and a tilt with a brim. The ladies like his Jazz.
