“A strong Country influence runs through Shawn’s brand of Americana influenced Rock, plus you can pick up faint echoes of the Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen, in Shawn’s big choruses and widescreen tales of life on the road. We like Shawn because he is a guy who hasn’t lost sight of his passion for music and the musician’s lifestyle.”
Playmusic Magazine, UK, Tim Slater
This sums up what Shawn and the B-57’s are about - a no nonsense and straightforward Rock’n’Roll/Americana band with their own sound.
Having played for years, from small shows to grand stages, Shawn’s current setup reflects his songwriting abilities and his way to bring a cover song into contemporary times by performing it in his own style which only enhances the fun created onstage with a freshness of today.
The B-57’s have successfully played throughout Europe and UK and whether it’s a pub or a festival they enjoy what they do with lots of entertainment in store for the fans.
“Shawn and company certainly knew how to play Rock’n’Roll music - albeit with a contemporary edge on some tunes but this only served to enhance the rockin’ feel. Certainly a band to watch out for and I hope to see them again.”
Americana International 2012 - A review by Tony Wilkinson at the Rockabilly Hall of Fame
Shawn has worked with some musical greats including Albert Lee, Boz Boorer, Linda Gail Lewis and hit producer John David and has collaborated with many other musicians over the years.
The B-57’s are a three-piece guitar setup with extra musicians sessioning on occasions, including a sax and piano, so that every club’s needs can be met.
Whether as an acoustic setup or electric - it’ll be a night to remember of good Rock’n’Roll music. The Members of B-57 No text Shawn Harvey

-- Shawn Harvey (Vocals, Guitar) --
"For those who have never heard of Shawn, he is an already well established British singer, songwriter, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and producer, who has a large international fan base and is equally a well respected musician amongst other musicians throughout the world. For over a decade he has written and recorded Pop, Rock and Blues, like very few do, and to top it off, he has worked with a great number of influential names, such Albert Lee, Boz Boorer and Linda Gail Lewis.
Born in Plymouth, England, Shawn grew up in a small tin-mining town in rural Cornwall surrounded by the sounds of the Seventies, a love for a music which shines through in his own music to this day. He started playing guitar and writing songs at the age of 13, and since then, has developed his own distinctive style, taking his inspiration from his own early musical influences and adding a large dose of himself to each of his songs and recordings. The result, I am sure you will agree, is a fresh and exciting new sound in recreating 1950s Rock'n'Roll in the 2000s. His live performances have been described as electrifying, and are, say many, still the best way to witness his true musical talent as a singer and guitarist. From years spent on the road, and gigging the length and width of the UK and Europe ever since he was aged 14, has turned him into one of the most exciting performers around today. Catch him performing live and you will catch him in his element."

Nigel Goodall - Buckle Up! CD liners
“Shawn Harvey has created a great piece of work with this CD in the grand tradition of Rock’n’Roll.
The disc contains cover versions (e.g. Ruby Baby and Sweet Little Rock’n’Roller) and self-penned songs such as Little Things, Over Again and a much improved version of the title track from the previous album Thinkin’ It Over. This makes for a perfect mix of slow and fast tracks.
All of the songs have one thing in common – the band’s harmonic, big sound that brilliantly transports the old Rock’n’Roll and Rhythm&Blues feel into this modern day and age.
In short, a master piece by Mr. Harvey and a "must have” not only for his fans but for all lovers of Rock’n’Roll music.
It’s a pity that the release is still a way off. I am already looking forward to present this disc to the listeners of www.sound-unity.com on my shows.”
