My spoken word is emotionally poetic rhythms, much as a blues mans guitar weeps of lost love, or a saxophone wailing in the throws of passion, or even the street corner preacher begging you to hear his sales pitch of salvation, spoken word is jazz.
Just like jazz, spoken word is story telling with soul, and as Miles Davis said, “It not how many notes you play, it’s when you play them.”
The music, (some samples) or music I wrote and played, it is meant to be felt, as much as the poetry touches you. You can hear me around the Northwest and traveling nationally reciting poetry and playing stand-up bass behind other poetics at different venues. You need a MC? Call me.
