Aurora Medina — The Multihyphenate Force of Light & Sound
Formerly known as Xio, Aurora Medina is a Puerto Rican-born powerhouse—artist, entrepreneur, and visionary—who’s mastered the art of reinvention. As the founder of Medination Music LLC, she’s written, recorded, and released two full-length albums—“Temperatures of My Life” and “So Alive”—along with a trail of genre-blending singles. Her most recent release, “Heaven/Cielo,” soared to the Top 40 on NYC’s Party105 FM, became #1 Added & Spincrease on New Music Weekly, and landed Aurora a spot on their coveted “Up & Coming” Artist list. Written by Aurora and produced by Tony Coluccio (credits: Beyoncé, Gaga, Whitney, MJ), “Heaven” is an electrifying club anthem with soul.
But music is only one dimension of Aurora’s artistry.
She has directed and edited most of her own music videos, including “Ve,” an official selection of the 2013 Rincón International Film Festival. As an actress, she’s starred in five indie films and is featured in the upcoming international documentary “107 Days Around the World” by Laurent Chalet (March of the Penguins) and Simon Allix. Her short film “Genesis 39”, directed by Michael Martinez, is streaming now, and she’s currently producing and starring in “The Bond,” a project she wrote that was a finalist in HBO Latino’s Best Screenplay competition.
Aurora’s live shows are a magnetic experience—her voice crisp, genre-fluid, and emotionally charged, pulling audiences into every note. Whether she’s onstage, behind the lens, or in front of the camera, she captivates with authenticity, presence, and pure creative fire.
From beats to scripts, spotlights to soul work, Aurora is blazing a trail—not just as a Latina artist, but as a cultural force reminding us all that art is healing, movement is power, and dreams are worth chasing.

“Aurora & Tony Coluccio \"One Heart\"" by Aurora featured a fast, upbeat tempo and a melody that I thought was very dance like. Also, I liked the woman vocalist's sweet and sultry voice.”

“(Who do you Love Now) From the start I'm feeling like this song is techno or dance and house. The lead singers voice is heavenly and mystical. I kept anticipating the dance beat waiting and excited which I'm sure was the intention. Then here it comes. I could definitely see myself dancing to this song in a NYC gay club with my friends. This is song is so much energy.”

“(You Don't Need to Know) A good beat for dancing or for exercising. The lyrics and the message are nice. I like that there's no break in the rhythm and the song sees you through without having to break stride.”

“I liked the compassionate touching side of this song. Your lyrics went above and beyond. You really moved me to continue
writing. I also like how you changed the pitch on your voice. You've got great singing ability. You're very talented and should
make it big!”

"Heaven" “Great energetic beat. Love the slight distortions in the vocal lines. Cool rhythms in the instrumental solo lines - straight
beats mixed slightly with off-beats. The song makes you sit on the edge of the chair. Melodies on top of the rhythm really
bring out those cool beats. Great party song and great radio song.”

“This is one the hottest discoveries in Garageband history. I cant wait to get this band on my radio show. The beat is tight, the vocals is mixed to butter, they speakin on some fun life topics, it's not the same ol shit.”
KingRaTino from Muskegon, Michigan - LakeFXRadio
“The intro is very intriguing! I like how the thunder & lighting pulls you into the song.
The whispered voice of the woman keeps you in the song. I could see this song being played in either a movie or on a late night drama.
You have a hit on your hands with this one - good job!!”
