Press:

““From This Fire” has found a sound that is that balance, with the backbone of a pure metal and vocals and harmonies that reign in its heavy onslaught. Vocals that sometimes seem to uncover a hint of post punk bands such as “Lit”. In the same way Evenesance bring the sweets to Metal, From This Fire brings the harmonies and a barrage of metal riffs that bash you in the head seemingly from out of nowhere.”
Bigg J Dogg - Ultimate Local Music

“All in all, people will find that this is a mainstream sounding band. Like good mainstream bands you'll hear a good rocking sound, some catchy instrument hooks, vocal hooks and sing alongs... I think this album is a great piece! I grade this album a solid B!”
Daniel C. Morrison - Alternative Revolt Magazine (Issue#11, page 69)

“Their bio states that people compare them to a carnal meeting of Metallica and Breaking Benjamin. I don't particularly hear that. I'd throw in a hump fest with Sevendust and Godsmack with a little somber seasoning.”
Daniel C. Morrison - Alternative Revolt Magazine (Issue#10, page 25)

“From This Fire's latest EP "The Serenade" is 3 songs of modern hard rock that will have your head bangin' and fists a poundin'. The first song "Days Go By" is hard rocker that will appease any Decyfer Down, Red, or TRIGGERSoul fan. The guitar work is ballistic, the vocals are strong, and the whole sound is quite excellent. I also noticed they sound a bit like "Frail" as well. "Good for Nothing" is the next track and another rocker. These guys rock and the quality is top notch on this album. Great production and song writing throughout. The final track "Dreams" is a cool metal rocker and probably my favorite song. Overall FTF are a great band and this album is one you cannot do without so go check them out and get a copy of "The Serenade", you won't be disappointed.”

MATT LaPLANT: BIELER BROTHERS / ATLANTIC / ROADRUNNER - Showcase Judge Comment Sheet

“From This Fire have a grungy, crunchy sound that's polished and catchy enough to draw comparisons to anything on mainstream modern rock radio.”
Jay Cridlin - Tampa Bay Times (TBT Soundcheck)

“From This Fire has already been on 98Rock and ReverbNation. At some points they do have a slight metal edge, but are mainly mainstream style music and sound. ... I'm predicting teenage girls and young 20s bouncing up and down yelling they are the best band ever.”
Wes Cambron - Tampa Metal Music Examiner

“Friday, Aug. 21 Sick Puppies / Hurt w/The Veer Union/From This Fire/The Stand LA-by-way-of-Australia trio Sick Puppies make aggro-sexy alt rock with muscular basslines, crunchy guitar riffs, and vocals either crooned, sung-yelled, growled, or processed through fizzy effects.”
Leilani Polk - Creative Loafing
