Biography:

“Bang Bang in ‘da’ building, what a wonderful feeling…” Bang Bang Tang is best known for being a lyrical storyteller whose “doin’ it for da street”…spreading what he calls “street gospel…always “reppin’ dat North Kak.” Bang Bang is an independent rap artist best known for his high energy performances; he believes in putting together hot albums not just hot tracks!!! His goal is to put North Carolina on ‘da’ map!

Bang Bang is currently pushing, performing and promoting the underground album entitled ‘Groundhog Day’ all over the south. Bang Bang co-produced the album, released in November 2009 with Macio of Rillaz Records. In addition to that album, he is working on his own solo mix-tape CD entitled ‘I Got the Beam On Ya’…trust me…it’s all fyah!

Tang was born in 1978 in Fayetteville, NC but raised in Kinston ‘K-Town’ (representin’ da 252)…he now holds it down in Raleigh, NC.

Tang started rapping at the age of 12 and formed his first group at the age of thirteen called Fallen Creek Posse aka F.C.P. In 2001, while living in Asheville, he formed the group ‘HEAT.’ This is where he learned how to format songs and bring the realism of the streets that he has experienced into his music. In 2004, Tang moved to Texas and formed Reddotzent, where he serves as the CEO. Reddotzent consists of two members to date, Tang and Tripp. In 2007, while living in Tennessee, he adapted the name “Bang Bang,” given to him by a mentor describing his delivery…the rest is history in the making!

From being featured on the DJ Smalls Southern Smoke College Tour CD in 2008 to the Carolina Grinding Mix tape, released in 2009, Bang Bang has been featured on tracks with several top producers around the world…it does not stop in the US!
