Since 1995, Will Georgantas has written and recorded hundreds of songs under the name Thunderegg. Some of the dozen-odd albums are solo. Some of them feature a kick-ass band. The gorgeous latest was recorded with engineer Alan Weatherhead (Sparklehorse) at Sound of Music Studios in Richmond, Virginia. Beloved by the underground and hailed in the press as a true innovator, in 2006 Will self-released "Open Book," a 231-song mp3 anthology/lyric book that collected everything he'd recorded. Then he went and wrote a song a week for 52 straight weeks and wrapped up an album of covers, "Platinum." Now there's a second album recorded with Weatherhead, "C'mon Thunder," plus a bunch of new songs for the four-track.
"Open Book is an absolutely stunning achievement, and filled to the brim with classic songs. Probably one of the most essential music items so far of the twenty-first century."

"Georgantas's melodies sound effortlessly executed, like he simply exhales...unusually catchy and inviting tidbits."
The New Haven Advocate
"Just listen to the first song and you’ll buy in. Thunderegg’s lyrics express the humor of new-found love, bad baseball announcers, and daily life in simple songs with sweet melodies."
My Old Kentucky Home
"Will Georgantas, he who essentially is Thunderegg, has true melodic gift and a wry, humorous (but not jokey) lyrical touch. I don’t know how long it’ll take me, but I intend on someday getting through everything on [Open Book]. We should all leave a legacy on this world so impressive."
Chromewaves
"Will Georgantas, the man behind Thunderegg, has undertaken over the last ten years what can only be described as an inspired and single-minded artistic journey.... A captivating and often deeply moving listen.... Five stars out of five."

"By turns humorous and earnest, the band glows with an easy lyrical and musical intelligence.”
Splendid
"The songs are smart, playful, melodic, and masterfully crafted.... Thunderegg is everything indie was meant to be."
