We have a unique blend of music that spans across several genre's. By using a new & powerful mixture of sound from an acoustic guitar and adding our heavy rhythm section - you'll hear music from bluegrass to punk rock. Somewhere between Bob Dylan and Iggy Pop, you'll find us.
“Bloomington-based trio American Syndrome opened up the night with a set of spooky two-step grunge songs that came off like Nirvana at times and Tom Waits at others, with a bit of the later-era Bob Dylan sprinkled in. The drummer’s bundled sticks and the subdued, haunting guitar lines gave their music a very dusky, desert landscape vibe which, as on songs like “Behind the Sun,” gave way to a rising, alt-rock finish.”
Grant Catton - NUVO
“Their whole sound seems to come from a rootsy, acoustic guitar background. The lead vocalist/lead guitarist sings in a no non-sense, fast punk-esque kind of manner making their songs energetic and soulful. Add a very tight, creative rhythm section to the mix and you have American Syndrome.”
