“Blue Forever. IN 1997, J’Ouvert band turned singers 3canal were thrust into stardom because of the mega success of their song “Blue” and the creative accompanying video.”

“With the 2016 Carnival season being extremely short, rapso trio 3Canal thought “Out of the Box” and have chosen to keep their annual concert series at the Big Black Box on Murray Street in Woodbrook.”
Nigel Telesford - Trinidad Express Newspaper

“Grimeee, the carnival show by rapso group 3canal was one of the cultural highlights of 2014”
Simon Lee - Trinidad Guardian Newspaper

“BIG BLACK BOX opens with a BANG. ...“The idea behind the Big Black Box is: ‘New space, new time, new possibilities’. It’s always been a dream of ours to have a space that we can operate out of in totality. “The experience of the office, the stage and the studio, the gathering of artists on the regular, and the conjunction of all those energies is a synergy that is unbeatable."”
Janine Charles-Farray - Guardian Newspapers Trinidad & Tobago

“Illuminating the BIG BLACK BOX. ...“Stop living the life you living.” If it sounds trite (“Let me give you some more love, more light…love is infectious, it’s easy to spread’), one only has to remember the Beatles’ anthem, or the basic Buddhist tenet. But there’s far more of the confrontational “punk bois” spirit rather than the laissez-faire hippy style to 3Canal (think The Clash meets Stickman). ...The brief intermission was followed by the Pappyshow Posse’s hysterical skit, featuring Cecilia Salazar as a worse-for-wear political leader and her aggressively sycophantic AG, posturing populist style and batting down errant reporters, as they introduced constitutional amendments. This was political picong par excellence (“Stop pissing on the people’s heads and calling it rain”)...”
Simon Lee - Guardian Newspapers Trinidad & Tobago

“While some choose to celebrate the Emancipation Day holiday by simply dressing in traditional African fashion and enjoying African cuisine and culture, rapso group 3Canal is calling on the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago to dig deeper and commemorate the occasion with introspection and honest appraisal of our state of being”
Nigel Telesford - Trinidad Express

“3canal wants more local content”
Wayne Bowman - Trinidad Express Newspapers

“For Carnival 2012, rapso group 3canal is continuing to do what it does best – meld social commentary with the arts. The dynamic trio is preparing for the 2012 edition of The 3canal Show...”
Zahra Gordon - Trinidad Express Newspaper

“The question, "Why are we really in a State of Emergency and on lockdown?" was asked several times during the concert ReThePublic presented by rapso group 3canal on Republic Day, September 24....Not only 3canal was sizzling on the night, but the Cut+Clear Crew helped to light the place on fire with its own performance supporting the vocalists...”
Wayne Bowman - Trinidad Express Newspapers

“3canal is known for their feel-good rapso vibrations, but it was their socially conscious side that came to the fore, when they brought their annual ReThePublic concert to the Queen’s Hall stage on September 24. They came to deal with serious business. The current state of emergency was the topic of the night, and the trio treated it with gravity”
Gillian Moor - Trinidad Guardian Newspaper

“At their fifth anniversary concert, Re:ThePublic, at Queen’s Hall last Saturday (Republic Day), rapso group 3canal set out to raise the consciousness of patrons; and that they did. With the theme, “For the People, Know Your Rights,” the trio – Roger Roberts, Stanton Kewley and Wendell Manwarren – came ready for “war,””
Verdel Bishop - Newsday

““Still standing, still strong,” 3canal sang onstage at Little Carib Theatre in Woodbrook, during last Saturday’s staging of their annual Carnival show. Surrounded by dancers and backed by their band Cut + Clear, the band gave their fans an energetic performance on the stage where it all started, and proved their declaration to be true.”
Gillian Moore - Guardian Media Limited

“The poolside area of the Carlton Savannah Hotel was transformed into the Queen's Park Savannah stage of old last Emancipation Sunday evening, as Rapso favourites, 3canal hosted their annual Freedom.com concert event and almost initiated a mid-year Jouvert celebration without mud. Nigel Telesford - Trinidad Express Newspaper

“Rapso group 3 Canal walked away with the lion’s share of awards, including the prize for Most Outstanding Production—The 3-Canal JAM-IT! Show—at Tuesday’s Cacique Awards 2009. The 21st Annual Awards Ceremony, produced by the National Drama Association of T&T (NDATT) was held at Queen’s Hall, St Ann’s, and was attended to by scores of local arts and entertainment enthusiasts. “Artistes Call For Equal Radio Time Roughly a decade ago artistes, musicians, music producers and lovers of local music marched through Port of Spain calling for greater radio airplay for local music. Rapso artiste Wendell Manwarren of the group 3Canal observes today, that many things have changed since. "Andre Tanker who was forefront in the march has since passed away and calypsonian Winston "Gypsy" Peters who was also part of the movement for fairer airplay for our local music is now the Minister of Arts and Multiculturalism. Many things have changed, yet we are still waiting for more airplay," Manwarren said. Click link for full story”
