Mark started live performance through open mic nights in 2005 assisted and encouraged by several other local musicians (thanks to Brian Dexter, Steve Lawson , Nigel Whiteley, and Karl Lornie , in particular).
Started song writing in 2010 and began recording tracks for the debut album 'Airbrush Hollywood' which was released in August 2015 on Spinnup Records, part of the Universal Record group. The album was produced and engineered by Paul Robotham at FYNK studios in Wallasey, UK. The album is currently digitally distributed by Spinnup, and 7 of the 13 tracks are licenced to Emerge Music (UK), part of the RAK records group, London. 'Airbrush Hollywood' is available to listen to on Spotify, and available for purchase, on I Tunes and Amazon. The first 200 copies of the album were sold in aid of Claire House Children's Hospice in Wirral, UK. Mark is a member of the band The Marshall Hearts, based in Merseyside, UK, in which he plays acoustic guitar and tenor sax, and adds vocal to support the lead singers. Mark is also a member of the four man acoustic band Madmen, with Steve Lawson, Matt Allen, and Alan Jeacock.
Gods of California' was a semi-finalist in the 2010 UK Songwriting Competition (Adult Contemporary Category).
