Started in the summer of 2008, the collective began performing in August of that year.
Over the next months, some members temporarily left, while others continued on, occasionally inviting guests to partake.
On March 1st 2009 the band had its first proper show (also a cd-release party). The headliner of the show was not allowed to play, and Blue Shirts themselves have been banned from ever playing at Gus' Pub again, due to them being way too real for the owner of the pub. Oddly enough, that night the Shirts played one of their most conventional sets ever. A recording of this show will be soon released on tape.
Since that fateful evening another member of the band moved away, and another has been declared an official member.
“this cd-r is the musical verison of a septic pipe backing up into my soul. It is so lo-fi and chaotic... I should just listen to the inside of a sewer system if i ever want to hear this again.”
