Kenny Hughes know as RADIO or (Radio3000) is a singer-rapper-songwriter from Northern California. His musical influences are artist such as Michael Jackson, Cab Calloway, and Lauryn Hill. RADIO's love for all genres of music is how he found his artist name. After High School RADIO found some radio success with a song titled EASE THE PAIN. Eventually he moved to Hollywood to study music at the Musicians Institute. In Hollywood RADIO would perform at legendary venues such as the Viper Room, Key Club, House of Blues, BBKings, the Troubadour, and many others RADIO has performed as the opening act for artist such as Stevie Wonder, Brandy, T-Pain, Tina Marie, George Clinton, Keisha Cole, Chris Brown, Genuwine, Tyrese, Mario, and B.O.B just to name a small few.
In 2007 RADIO performed for the first time on television on BET’s SPRING BLING. The show was seen all around the world. The following year was offered a 6 month contract to perform in Singapore. He took up on the offer and would perform over 180 over the 6 month time period. While in South East Asia RADIO performed in countries like Indonesia , Malaysia, Singapore. His performance had become so popular in the region that billboards of him were put up around the city, his song "LAH" hit the radio stations by storm and MTV ASIA filmed the 2008 to 2009 countdown at the venue where he had been performing. When RADIO returned to the US RADIO held the #1 position (rnB/soul) on sites like reverbnation.com, myspace.com and rocmp3.com. He has also released and digitally distributed his own album under his label 2deep Production/ RatedNext titled TOUR GUIDE TO HOLLYWOOD. To create more hype for the album, he teamed up with ISLAND DEF JAM to assist with the digital release.
RADIO has found success in television and film with placements on shows such as Flavor Of Love season 2 (VH1), American Pie "Naked Mile", The Voice (NBC), and Candy Girls (E Channel). After connecting with Music Dealers RADIO has had various placements on television and created the official theme song for the company. Through Music Dealers, RADIO has also performed for Coca Cola and Spotify at one of their music showcases in Atlanta GA. As a songwriter and producer he has song placements with artist like Mario (J/RCA) Scooter Smiff (Chris Brown ENT.), Dj Battlecat (Snoop Dogg), Freeway (Jay-Z's former artist) Jay & Sweet (J-Lo's "my love dont cost a thing") to name a few. In 2012 RADIO took on another contract to perform overseas this time in Bali & Jakarta Indonesia as well as Abu Dhabi and Dubai. As a well seasoned, focused independent artist RADIO is ready for the majors. Soon and very soon he will take over airwaves and stages all over the world.
