Throughout his career, Charlie has established himself as a leader in both the hip-hop genre and the broader music scene locally. Born in London, Ontario, but raised in Chatham, Ontario, the singer, rapper, songwriter, and performer discovered his passion for music at a young age. He began expressing himself through music, taking on lead roles in his church choirs, where he gained valuable insights into his unique vocal sound. During this period, the music industry was undergoing significant changes, with hip-hop, rap, and R&B becoming increasingly mainstream, producing stars like Boyz 2 Men, Mariah Carey, New Edition, Michael Jackson, and 2Pac. Charlie drew inspiration from these influential artists, cultivating his own creative expression. While balancing his academic pursuits and competing in track and field, he aspired to write his own songs. In 2005, Charlie started releasing music as an artist, recording his first single, and establishing a presence on social media. At that time, Jessica Allossery was one of the few local artists making a name for themselves, and Charlie took pride in his efforts to put Chatham on the music industry map. He has worked tirelessly to create online content, releasing a substantial amount of free music for his fans. Since 2005, Charlie has produced 13 mixtapes, an EP, and two albums. On November 29, 2012, he parted ways with his longtime label, Playasville, to pursue an independent path. Music is deeply ingrained in Charlie's family, with his grandparents, uncles, and father having all performed live. For Charlie, success in the music industry has never been about fame or wealth; rather, he strives to be a role model and an inspiration for the younger generation.
