Biography:

This unholy union was conceived in the frozen lands of northern New York, and then incubated in the stench of a New Jersey landfill. Only then could it be born into the shadows of Philadelphia. An offering to the masses of epic proportions. A metal band influenced by punk rock, classic rock, and jazz warmed over with a touch of New York hardcore, speed metal, and just plain sludge. The result is a collection of songs so familiar you'll wonder why you've never heard them before. A sound so unique it can only be labeled as one genre...The Fetals.

Press:

“With a sound they claim to be “incubated in the stench of New Jersey landfill,” The Fetals reanimate classic sounds of corruption with juicy results.”
Overplay - Overplay.com Newsletter

“As a whole, these guys obviously have love for the music they’re making, and this comes through in the music.”
BlandStreetBloom - UK Metal Underground

“AT FIRST YOU SEE THEIR LOOK.....DARK , INK , LITTLE ROUGH AROUND THE EDGES , BUT WHEN IT COMES TO MUSIC THEY ARE ONE OF THE MOST PROFESSIONAL BANDS I HAVE EVER MET. METAL IS USUALLY ONE PACE.......EXTREMELY LOUD AND INTRUSIVE TO THE EARDRUM. THIS BAND IS DIVERSIFIED...”
Big Daddy - The Nail Radio Show Blog

“They'll make you want to crawl back inside your mother's dusty womb and reshape your supple skull to make more room in the auditory cortex for the deathload of heavy metal that the Fetals are going to force feed your brain.”
two.one.five magazine - featured events

“The awesome thing about this band is that it just runs the gambit from personalities to how you guys play on stage...eclectic as individuals and then you put them together and they sound phenomenal live.”
Sarah the Pisan - Live at The Nail Radio Show

"One of the most exciting acts that we saw develop from its inception over the past two years is a Philadelphia-based metal band called The Fetals."
Range Recording Studio Newletter - June 2009
